Sam Conyers

I am a highly motivated and efficient individual who is able to effectively communicate at all levels. I have strong problem solving skills and I am innovative and flexible in my approach to work while striving to maintain the highest professional standards. I feel that my major strengths are time management and organisational skills, my ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with my peers and managers, as well as my experience in dealing with customer care.

Since leaving compulsory education in 2018 I have worked part time for McDonald's whilst undertaking my construction course at York College. During my time here I have learnt the value of providing good customer service to maintain the good reputation of my employer. Whether behind the scenes in the kitchen or front of house I take pride in presenting good hygiene standards, maintaining a clear, safe environment, working under pressure to meet customer expectations, and solving problems for customers.

Creative thinking and using my initiative are also skills I have been able to develop here.

Apprentice/ Full Time Bricklayer - Persimmons

(2020-09)

Since leaving McDonald's in September 2020, I have worked full time as a Bricklayer for Persimmons. Carrying out a variety of different jobs including laying blocks, carrying blocks and bricks up scaffolding, laying installation, mixing cement and mortar, cleaning, tidying, pointing, and loading out. One of the skills I have picked up from this work experience is working in tight spaces and at height which is key for a builder.

I have also picked up time management as this experience has given me deadlines on which I have been able to stick to and keep my work to the professional level to which Persimmons expect. I have since completed my apprenticeship and have moved on to become a full-time worker for Persimmon homes
