Room leader and DSL - Brighter Beginnings

I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the out of school club and ensure a high quality of care and education standard is ongoing in the room. I lead and mentor staff, manage resources and safety and ensure the room is safe and in ratio at all times. I Escorting children from the ages of 3-11 years old to and from school safely, ensuring they are wearing high vis jackets, holding hands, always making sure the children are Safeguarded on the commute to and from the school.

Then children will engage in planned activities or continuous prevision, also supporting with homework. This can also include supporting children with SEN and any challenging behaviours. When parents arrive to collect their child, they will be given a hand over of what they have eaten for tea, any concerns staff have of the child, any accident or incidents that may have happened within the session.

Also, any information the school has asked staff to inform the parent. Staff also give school hand overs if required from parents.

Mental Health Recovery Worker - Richmond fellowship

• I catered to women with Mental Health diagnoses and other vulnerabilities, such as having a history of child sexual abuse.
• I support the women at the service through person centered approach, using a holist approach in their SMART goals, I arrange weekly one to one session that are designed to ensure that they are fully involved in their support plan and highlight any issues that they might have.
• I signpost other agencies and services that would be helpful to our service users and help them with accessibility.
• I help service users with practical aspects of the lives such as their tenancy, banking, bills and benefits, Budgeting. I support service users to attend appointments, such as GP, Psychiatrist, Job Centre, Enrolling at College, Shopping, Outing in local area (local park).
• I work closely with Care-Coordinators, Home Based Treatment Team, Safeguarding Teams (Adult and Children) to ensure that the service users are getting the appropriate support.
• I have worked with victims of abuse, exploitation, trafficking, honour-based violence and FGM, aswell as women that struggle with drug and alcohol addictions.
