Samuel Batley

I have been a freelance illustrator, on and off, for most of my life, even before I graduated with BA(Hons) Illustration & Animation in 2005. I am also an experienced Primary school teacher, and a father to 4 young children, so have been immersed in children’s literature for many, many years!

For the last 4 years, I have been a full-time freelance illustrator and artist (batleysamuelillustrations), having illustrated and had published, dozens of books for various authors and publishers. I'm able to work in a wide range of styles, using a variety of techniques and traditional media (pen, ink, pencil, paint), as well as digital. From simple cute cartoons, to academic realistic, and everything in-between!
