I am 24 years of age and a hardworking individual with plenty of customer and hospitality experience, leading teams of people, as well as experience in teaching/tutoring. I have experience working within a quick running factory, handling machinery and prioritising jobs. I have a BA (Hons) Illustration degree, I am looking to start my career and gain experience.

Trainee Teacher Placement at York College (2024-09 – 2025-05)

I wanted to get stuck in after University. I thought heading down the teaching path with this PGCE course would be a fantastic way to learn new skills and enhance my teaching knowledge. The course required months of teaching placement, where I was required to teach and monitor Art and Design students. This course has given me great insight into being a team leader and mentor.

Team Leader/Supervisor at Slug and Lettuce (2023-09 – 2024-07)

During my time as a team leader I learnt how to cash up after a day of work, do tasks on the computer, open and close the pub safely, manage a team and make sure everything was as it should be.

Bartender at Slug and Lettuce (2022-10 – 2023-05)

Working as a bartender at slug and lettuce taught me how to be quick and efficient on a busy Friday/Saturday night, to get people their drinks and make said drinks look fantastic and to work quick on a till. It taught me to work fast within a team and gave me lots of responsibilities like keeping the place clean, sorting out deliveries, changing kegs, and more.

Bar and Waiting Staff at The Crab and Lobster (2022-01 – 2023-12)

They showed me how to run a bar professionally, excluding cocktails. I did long hours when weddings were hosted and during original service. I learnt how to open and close a bar, how to pull pints, how to change a barrel/keg, and how to work with wine and spirits. I also did some front of house work, taking food, preparing tables for service and hosting.

Domestic Cleaner at Maid2Clean (2021-11 – 2022-03)

I looked out for clients that wanted a house clean weekly or whenever they wanted. I turned up on time and did a satisfying clean, doing whatever they required and sometimes a little more.

Cafe Worker at Thirsk Garden Centre (2019-07 – 2022-12)

I worked at my local Garden Centre Cafe. I worked there for over 3 years, and have thouroughly enjoyed my experience. I have learnt how to deal with customers, work in challenging situations, prepare food and drinks for customers, take orders on the till, manage a team when required, serve customers with a professional and cheerful attitude, and keep the area clean and tidy.
