I have worked in a range of capacities over the years, mainly in Care work. I feel that I am a caring and compassionate person and attentive to the needs of others. I always give 100% to the task at hand.

Although sometimes a little nervous at first, I can communicate well with people and have been told I'm an easy person to get along with. During the time I have spent working with my brother, I have communicated with many professional people regarding my brothers care. I can work well within a team or using my own initiative and will always go out of my way to fit in with others.

I have brought up 3 children who are all older now so have good time keeping and organisational skills. I have held a full UK Driving License for 17 years with no points or convictions.

I have been working at Thornbury private hospital in Sheffield for nearly 3 years. I assist the nurses and physiotherapists in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients who have had elective surgery.

• Accurate recording of vital signs on a National Early Warnings chart
• Recording urine input and output on a fluid balance chart
• Admit patients onto the ward when they first arrive and check on them at regular intervals whilst they wait for their surgery
• Assist patients with personal care and mobilising after surgery
• Taking out catheters and cannulas when able to
• Assist the nurses with various tasks
• Liaise with the physiotherapists regarding patient recovery
• Communicate with resident doctor regarding anything out of the ordinary that may need further investigation

Household manager at Helping to look after my brother (2020-03 – 2023-06)

My brother was in a very serious RTA in 2005. He was clinically dead for 40 minutes and, consequently sustained a significant brain injury. He has a 24/7 care package in place which me and my mum have been overseeing.

• Email Daily Reports to the Case Manager and other relevant parties
• Inform the Case Manager of any Physical/Mental changes in my brothers health
• Take him to and from doctors and hospital appointments
• Help with personal care
• Step in as Support Worker if there have been staffing issues
