Medical Receptionist - Templepatrick Surgery

As a medical receptionist I am the first point of contact for patients and a key part of keeping the practice running smoothly. My customer service role involves front of house duties such as coordinating appointments to different clinicians and healthcare providers, answering a high volume of phone calls, responding to queries and managing appointments prioritizing urgent cases and following triage guidelines while updating patients records, ensuring confidentiality at all times. I have administrative duties such as filing and scanning documents, coding hospital charts, process forms and manage correspondence such as letters, emails and referrals.

As a vet receptionist I handle basic duties such as meeting and greeting clients, recording pet weights, updating client records, book appointments, retrieving clinical history and prescriptions, assisting with pet supply purchases and manage rudimentary office functions and keep up to date with medical protocols. I have clerical responsibilities for the effective flow of information and communication, by answering telephone calls, taking messages for staff members and handling client requests and when receiving calls having the knowledge to provide the client with answers to questions or be able to direct the client query to the appropriate member of staff. I use computers on a daily basis for many aspects of the job including correspondence, entering data into computerized billing programs, desktop publishing and Internet research.
Otherwise I assist the vets in daily tasks and keeping the consultation rooms and reception area clean and tidy.
Front Office Assistant - Dunadry Hotel

I formerly was working as a front of house office assistant at Dunadry Hotel. I worked on the main reception desk and back office switchboard solely. My main duties were answering the multi-line telephone and emails, dealing with all queries for the hotel alongside restaurant, banqueting and wedding bookings and collecting and processing payments on Opera and Hotsoft Software.
My most important duties at reception were greeting all visitors with a courteous and sparkling manner, managing bookings for dining and assisting guests to room with luggage whilst informing them about the hotel surroundings and facilities. I also organized appropriate travel and special arrangements, or any extras for guests' requirements and maintained the reception area to look presentable and orderly.

I attended travel seminars to remain up to date with tourism trends. Each day I sorted through vast amounts of information to find the best possible travel arrangements to promote to my customers.

I had the duty of Front of House receptionist on two reception desks were my role was to greet all visitors with a 5* welcome, manage room and restaurant bookings, allocate rooms and hand out keys, prepare bills and handle payments, arrange travel or special arrangements or any extra requests for guests and keep the reception area presentable and tidy. I completed my Level 1 Pay Scale within 5 months employment due to my customer service skills, performance in work skills and my trip advisor reviews.
Cabin Services Assistant - P&O Ferries

During this season I worked for P&O Ferries as a full time Cabin Services Assistant. I had a number of key roles and responsibilities. I worked early hours and late nights providing a first class customer service experience throughout the Club Class Premium Lounge. I had certain duties such as till duties, domestic duties, and food and beverage services. I also helped in the shop, food court, Starbucks coffee lounge and the bar.
Counter Manager - Debenhams, Benefit Cosmetics

I worked with Benefit Cosmetics as a beauty advisor. I was responsible for delivering an exciting and unique service to all potential customers. My job role was to promote and launch new and upcoming events and products to achieve and exceed the sales objectives of the company's products, in order to maximize sale opportunities by demonstrating the products through make-up lessons and appointments.
In September 2014 after working with Benefit Cosmetics for five months I was offered the counter managers position where I was in charge of three members of part-time staff. My job role as management was to train and develop my staff to the best of their abilities, promote and launch new and upcoming products, drive the counter and my staff to focus on and drive sales and productivity to reach targets and complete daily, weekly and monthly counter paperwork.

I worked as a customer service advisor in Debenhams where I had responsibilities and knowledge within the fragrance and cosmetics department. I had to demonstrate and promote products such as fragrance, skincare and makeup. I won Debenhams employee of the month in March 2014 where I received excellent feedback about my hard work and customer service within the store.

I beforehand worked for Streetlife/Dresswell where I was a key holder of the store and supervisor of a small team of four people. I had many responsibilities such as till duties, fitting rooms, customer service, sale preparations, was frequently left in sole charge of the shop, opening and closing of the store and dealing with the banking.
