• Recruited new permanent team members and contractors both in the UK and overseas. Carried out right to work checks and issued all contracts of employment, contractor agreements and tracked probationary and review periods. Liaised directly with the candidates to ensure their onboarding was a good people experience.
• Created and managed the onboarding and offboarding process. Utilizing BambooHR I was able to automate and streamline many of the tasks and track the progress of them. Managed the company benefits, set up wellbeing initiatives and ran company social events.

HR Manager at Weaveworks Ltd (2019-06 – 2021-11)

Reviewing working practices of a distributed workforce. 60 employees working remotely from 15 locations globally. Risk assessments and health and safety audit.

• Implemented strategies during the recruitment and onboarding phases that were scalable, due to the rapid growth the company was going through. Weaveworks grew from 60 to 130 in 2 years.
• Implementation of the HRIS system and a payroll system in order to accurately record changes and amendments and ensure compliant handling of employee data.
• Implementation of KPI metrics for the people function, including retention, engagement, diversity statistics. Increased engagement from 70% to 81% over the past year, and reduced the attrition rate from 23% to 15.5% in the same period.
• Production of new Handbook, in UK, US and Europe including flexible working policies and mental health awareness policy.
• Overview of company benefits, and implementation of Healthcare, Cashback plan and pension scheme in both UK and US, utilising Gusto. Creating well being strategies for the organisation. Using Slack to set up mental health information, physical activities including the zombie challenge and promoting healthy eating.
• Implemented OfficeVibe for real time feedback on engagement to present to managers.
• Worked with the engineering team to develop career ladders, job descriptions and start doing performance management and PDP's.
• Worked closely with the lawyers to issue all share option certificates and board grants globally.
• Successfully submitted an application to the Home Office to be granted a sponsor licence. Set up an online portal with an external provider to carry out all work to right checks and background checks.
• Created a company wide inclusion, diversity and ethics policy, alongside training and awareness sessions.
