Having served within the Military for over 15 years and having held several roles from Driver through to my final role as a recruit instructor I believe I have a style of leadership that can cross many boundaries. I am versed at being proactive and hands on when it comes to completing deadlines with my team. Having left the Military and run my own small training business I have become more than competent at speaking with potential clients and indeed building confidence with that client to procure my services.

With my current position I have found that being able to speak open and honestly with clients have held me in good stead enabling me to build longstanding clients whom trust my approach and have faith in my abilities and experience.

Driver Operator - HM Forces

Varying roles within the military from Driver to Fuel specialist finishing as a recruit instructor for the final two years of my service. My career within the Military was then cut short after an accident on exercise which after rehabilitation meant I could no longer be classed as fit for active service. I was subsequently retired on a Full pension in February of 2007.

First aid Trainer - Self Employed - Bedfordshire

(2007-02)

On Leaving the Military I re qualified as a civilian first aid trainer. I carried out the first aid training for several large Nursery chains including Just Learning and Complete childcare. I also carried out the First aid training through Comberton Village College enabling child-minders to gain the necessary qualifications that satisfied the local authority.

College I also designed and carried out the first aid skilled award section of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and taught the sports injury treatment section of the BTEC award in sports science and carried this out for 8 years.

Advertising Agent - Self Employed - Potton, Bedfordshire

Area manager of two area magazines covering the St Neots, Huntingdon areas, Kimbolton - Alconbury areas.

• Calling/emailing and securing potential new customers each month for the magazines
• Ensuring from the booking to the artwork is taken care of for all new customers
• Ensuring existing customers are happy and pass all artwork adjustments forward to the design team as and when the customer needs them
• Re-booking customers when current bookings have run out to ensure their advertising remains within the magazine

My initial Role within Watson fuels was as a sales administrator, however I was asked to take on the role as a logistical coordinator/planner to run and maintain the Stevenage depot of the company.

• Analyze customer demand and assign the most optimal route to deliver product to client site
• Planning UK wide supply routes
• Managing transportation costs and vehicle utilization through scheduling of internal and external vehicles
• Liaison with internal sales and supply/pricing teams to match supply with demand

Transport and Production Team Leader - Acrow Galvanising LTD

(2019-12)

Promoted to Works Manager in the summer of 2020.

• Managing transportation costs and vehicle utilization through scheduling of internal and external vehicles
• Managing the drivers to ensure they remain legally compliant
• Regularly monitor and analyse transport costs and volume
• Staying up to date with current fleet inventory and deploying efficiently and effectively
• Mentoring and progressing new transport planner
• Evaluating the benefits and costs of different supply routes
• Forming potential solutions to transport and production problems
• Training and progressing new position within team (Production Administrator)
• Organization of the workforce rotational shifts, including recruitment of new staff and keeping the man hours to an agreed number in accordance to budget target
• Ensuring the plant adhered to group Health and safety policy driving this as the number 1 strategic priority
• Ensuring the plant adhered to BSI 1461 standards at all time
• Reducing Zinc pick ups on the process line
• Attempting to capture all KPIs including man hours per ton overtime hours per ton, gross and net zinc pickups, process compliance
• Managing the Transport fleet and gaining and maintaining a high level Transport score audited annually by the group transport manager
• Reduced the drivers captured speeding numbers on the Ctrack system
• Increased fuel efficiency
• Managed the maintenance agreement and reduced costings
• Successfully passed Level 3 certificate of professional competence for transport managers (Road Haulage) in January 2026
• Developing a production plan to ensure better efficiency between the plant and the transport
• Introducing successfully a new transport planner who had no previous experience
• Managed to navigate the works (operations) elements of the factory through the challenges of Covid 19, and other crisis that followed whilst maintaining and improving on the set KPI targets year on year
