My name is Seren, I am 17 years old and I am attending Rhyl college to complete a level 3 public services course. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going on walks and working for my future.
Waitress at Tir prince Cafe (2025-02 – 2025-08)
This was a seasonal Job that I worked while I was in year 11. The experience I gained from this was customer service skills and communication skills. For example, there was a customer whose card declined when they already had their food and drink. In order to fix this, I told my boss the issue that was happening and they were able to talk to the customer to fix the issue. I left this job due to mental health reasons, as at the time I was doing GCSEs as well as working and it was a bit too much.
Waitress / barista at Porter's cafe (2024-10 – 2024-10)
This job was for my year 11 work experience. I was at porters for a week, where I learnt how to be resilient. In this job role I was to great customers, work the till, make coffees of all kinds and clean the cafe. I enjoyed working at porters cafe due to never being bored there and there was always something to do.
volunteer at Colleg llandrillo (2026-03 – 2026-04)
In my college course, I had to volunteer for two chosen services. In which I volunteered at the RNLI and at marsh tracks. In these two roles, I helped with ensuring all participants were comfortable and there were no issues.
