Shantanu is a Senior Consultant within PwC’s Strategy & Technology consulting team, highly skilled in delivering products and digital initiatives across the financial services industry, predominately focusing on Retail, Wealth & SME banking. With over six years of experience, he advises clients in designing and implementing Product Management and Strategy for Current and Savings accounts, Investment products, Core banking platforms, Lending, Global payments, FX, Open banking, Cards, Pensions and Business & Digital transformation solutions to deliver their critical business goals, improve the level of operational efficiency and quality of customer service.
In addition to consulting, Shantanu holds a rich banking experience as a Product & Program Manager at IDFC FIRST Bank. In his role, he empowered teams to be scalable and customer-centric by crafting tailored solutions including understanding & solving customer needs, assessing products and services, building best-in-class products, creating product strategy and roadmap, designing customer journeys, deploying solutions, and achieving cost reduction. He supported rapid current account and transaction banking product development, new feature enhancements, best-in-class customer experience, commercial performance, access to lending, third party relationships, partnerships beyond banking, regulation and Banking as a Service in line with platform and market requirement.
He has extensive knowledge of FCA, BCOBS, CASS, FSCS, cards, core banking, and global payment rails, including SWIFT, FPS, CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, SEPA Instant, TARGET2, treasury, fraud and dispute, cross-border and cross-currency solutions
Shantanu holds an MBA in International Business from Symbiosis International University and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
