I am a Chemical Engineering graduate from Jadavpur University ‘20 (Kolkata, India) with 2 years of relevant experience in the Fine & Agro-Chemical Industry and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Sustainable Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University (IChemE affiliated). As a recent graduate in Chemical Engineering, I am excited about the opportunity to join your team and contribute to the growth of your organization.

I have worked with PI Industries Ltd. (previously known as Pesticide India) in the Technology Transfer Department, where I focussed on the scale-up of newly developed molecules, ranging from pesticides to electronic polymers, from the R&D scale to the Commercial production level via Pilot Trials. I have performed engineering studies such as mass & energy balances, agitation simulation & scale-up, equipment/MoC selection, corrosion study, asset planning, preliminary production costing, P&ID verification & reactor design. I have worked for big clients such as SABIC, Bayer, Dow Chemicals, etc.

I along with my teammates, were successful in commercializing the organization’s first electronic/semi-conductor chemical achieving very stringent limits of metal and Sulphate content.

Currently, I am pursuing my Master's in Sustainable Chemical Engineering at Newcastle University, where I have gained expertise in Carbon Capture and Storage, Green & Blue Hydrogen generation, life cycle assessment, energy management systems, and environmental impact assessment. I am familiar with environmental and waste regulations and have extensive knowledge of ISO14001, ISO50001 and ISO9001. I’m also working on the Life Cycle Assessment of IT assets at Sims Lifecycle Services, UK as part of my industrial dissertation.

Apart from my technical skills, I possess excellent project management skills, and I have successfully managed to scale up four processes from R&D lab to commercial scale via kilo/pilot trials in just one year. I have also executed costing of newly developed molecules based on the feasibility report from R&D and met 70% of customer target costs.

I have developed strong skills in designing and implementing processes for wastewater treatment during my internships in the Oil and Gas Sector. I have been also involved in the Commissioning of a Flow Chemistry Plant for API manufacturing at my previous organization, the first of its kind in India.

I am fluent in English, Bengali, and Hindi, and I possess an IELTS Academic score of 8.0 overall band. I am also certified in Emergency Response Team Member, AutoCAD Fusion 360, Microsoft Office, Dynochem and Aspen Plus/Aspen HYSYS.

I am a highly motivated and organized individual with strong planning and communication skills. I am able to prioritize tasks and produce high-quality work, and I am committed to setting high personal standards and taking responsibility for my own professional development.
