Smriti Limbu

I’m a recent graduate, having studied BA fashion design with knitwear. I am passionate about and enjoy all things hands on with garments, from hand sewing to hand sculpting part of a garment.

Having worked for an up and coming London knitwear brand Samuday Studios, I can work well with others and in a team, but I also have no trouble conducting tasks independently. From my college studies to now, I have also had experience working backstage for fashion shows, getting models ready for the runway, steaming garments, and finishing off loose ends.

I am a recent graduate, having studied BA fashion design with knitwear at Central Saint Martins. I have good visual and hands on skills. Having specialised in knitwear I am good at doing the fiddly jobs. Although I studied fashion design, I acquired an interest and preference for costume which I want to pursue further.

I am able to use industrial sewing machines and steamers and thoroughly enjoy hand sewing. I am capable at pattern cutting and can transfer this skill to knitted garments for hand and machine. I know my way around Microsoft applications, Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
