I am looking for a new challenge that will require a range of skills and expertise.
I am a native French speaker who has been carrying out French to English translations on a part time basis for over a decade.
I am also a geologist with a second Open University qualification that includes health and sports sciences together with culture and heritage.
May 2014 to Present Part-time Freelance Translator
Part-time freelance translator from French to English of mainly technical texts in the field of Earth and associated sciences. This included translations of documents relating to oil and gas, as well as ground investigations and building works; recent work has been primarily in translating research papers into English for researchers to submit to academic journals. Through agencies, I have also carried out several translations of more than 20,000 words for French governmental organisations.

Managed drilling of borehole to 1 km, with £450,000 budget. Project manager

Courses completed include archaeology, art history and health and fitness sciences, together with language, culture and translation studies.
