I have been employed at parish opticians for 25 years. Customer service is very important to me and I will always aim to achieve a high standard in anything that I do. I have many interests outside of work. Yoga classes are often and weekly as well as zumba. I also enjoy hiking and walking. I grow vegetables and fruits and love learning new skills. I enjoy art and draw and paint to also to relax. Reading is another past time to relax.

I currently work at an opticians where I have dedicated myself to a great job for over 20 years. I have learnt a great deal from this position and enjoy meeting new people and have got to know our customers very well. As much I enjoy my job immensely, I now feel I would like a career change as I have a lot to offer.
I thrive at learning new skills and achievements. Customer care is very important to me as well as the team I am working with. The roles as an optical assistant / receptionist are very varied. As well as administration and general receptionist work I take important measurements for new spectacles which involves a high standard of precision, care.
I also take care the stock within the practice including spectacles and contact lenses. Also we are highly regulated within the NHS that being said GDPR is high priority. Contact lens teaches are a very important part of my job.
This involves me helping patients of all ages carry out the correct way of inserting and removing contact lenses as well as guiding patients to choose the correct spectacles. Health and safety is very important and it also requires a lot of patience and skill. My job requires me to make sure the patient

I volunteered at Cardiff civil and family justice centre in 2018. It was very challenging and enjoyable but due to working full time I wasn't able to fit it in. That being said it was very interesting.

I became a trainee internet shopper when the first online shopping was introduced to the public. I enjoyed my time here as an employee, learning new skills and meeting great people. I learnt to work as a team as well as independently, shopping for customers and making the correct substitute items that were not available when the order was placed.
Shift work could mean early starts or late afternoon. Other duties were cashier and stocking shelves also. I learnt a great deal from this job as there were many responsibilities.
