Worked in the Offshore Oil & Gas industry for 36 years primarily in HSE roles involved in building Safety Cases and reviewing / planning Risk assessments.
I also worked in my leave time, for Merseyside Police as a Special Constable receiving my 10 year long service medal, whilst with the Police I was fortunate to receive their incident / accident investigation training and also my police driving course.
I have worked for several companies around the world and was based in Singapore for 8 years where I was part of a team in charge of building new Jack-up Drilling Rigs in Keppel Fels Shipyard, this is where my skills in man management enabled me to coordinate between the expat supervisors and the shipyard teams. As part of the management team I was required to lead teams on incident / accident investigations as and when required in order to find the root cause and implement new procedures to prevent a reoccurrence.
