Main responsibilities were analysing faults and repairing Hewlett Packard servers from the Proliant series manufactured in the Erskine plant. Used problem solving skills to prevent suspect machines reaching the process or removing confirmed failures from the process. Inputted data documenting fails using SAP onto database. Other responsibilities included building servers from the Hewlett Packard Proliant 500 series and Blade series.

Responsible for diagnosing and fault finding to component level using diagnostic test disks on all commodities. Capable of maintaining strict stock control concerning parts being transferred in and out and was experienced in using IMS (Inventory Management System) for the movement of material. Documented data concerning damaged commodities onto database.
Developed an excellent understanding of the installation of software and hardware systems and capable of diagnosing and repairing faults where possible. Gained a working knowledge of OTS (Order Tracking System) to obtain usage and fallout figures from the manufacturing process.
Oct 1995-Dec 1997
Responsible for ensuring computers were working to specification. This included the application and analysis of diagnostic tests for the computer hardware components. This involved assiduous attention to detail and ensuring components were properly installed and functioning correctly.
Experience of IQL (Incoming Quality Level) and MRB (Materials Review Board) which monitored incoming parts and chassis and ensured there was no damage. Conducted audits of manufacturing cells and different departments to ensure adherence to ISO 9002 standards.
