Placement at Castle Bromwich Junior School
During my time at Birmingham City University, I completed a 4-week placement at Castle Bromwich Junior School, gaining valuable first-hand classroom experience with a strong focus on supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I supported class teachers by assisting with lesson planning, marking books and assessments, and contributing to classroom preparation. I worked with small groups of pupils to enhance engagement, understanding, and progress across learning activities.
A key part of my role was providing targeted 1:1 support to SEN pupils, adapting learning approaches to promote inclusion, accessibility, and active participation within the classroom environment.
