I am currenly studing Biochemistry at the University of Liverpool. I am dedicated and harworking, always striving for new learning opportunites and new ways to grow as a person. After working at the wine bar Corks out for a year in my gap year, i realised i had a passion for hospitality. I love organisation and structured routines. Also loved to be able to connect with customers and enjoyed making a lasting positive impact on someone elses life.

Retail Assistant at Corks Out (2024-08 – Present)

Corks out is an independent wine and spirts specialist retailer, with a focus on highlighting smaller independent vineyards.

• Supported my team by proactively maintaining the stock levels in the bar, maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the bar area.
• Built strong relationships with return customers, creating a warm and welcoming environment on the bar floor for all customers.
• Attended multiple corporate wine tasting with the company to deepen product knowledge and enhance my ability to recommend and upsell wines to customers.
• Assisted in organising and setting up in-store wine tasting events, helping to promote new products and engage the local community.

Work Experience - Lab Assistant at Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery (2023-08 – 2023-08)

Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery is a world-class supplier of fuels, being one of only six major refineries in the UK. Specialising in the output of petrol and diesel for road vehicles and kerosene for aviation. I worked alongside the head refinery chemist Colin Mathews for a week in the onsite lab.

• Prepared and analysed diesel samples for an international interlab study for the Energy Institute. Experimenting with a new method of analysing the particle count in diesel.
• Worked alongside shift chemists to help analyse samples taken from the oil refinery.
• Kept work areas clean and organised for efficiency and safety purposes, as well as decreasing risk of contaminates interfering in the experiment.
• Gained an understanding of refinery processes, including energy efficiency, safety protocols, and environmental management.

Work Experience - Assistant at Nexus Solicitors (2023-04 – 2023-04)

Nexus Solicitors is a Manchester based firm that predominantly deal with areas of law relating to the business sector with a focus on cultivating long lasting relationships with clients.

• Attended a client meeting, gaining insight on how to navigate client concerns whilst also communicating the legal implications.
• Prepared for the meeting by conducting research on Companies House to gather background information on the client's business history.
• Shadowed a divorce lawyer, this taught me the complexities of family law, and I developed an awareness on how to navigate emotional situations professionally.
• Contributed to administrative tasks, including photocopying, paper shredding, and cashing client expenses at the bank.

Assistant Tennis Coach at Hale Country Club (2020-02 – 2021-06)

• Following the guidance of the head tennis coach I planned and led tennis training sessions for players of varying ages and skill levels.
• Promoted a positive and encouraging learning environment for player and fostered teamwork and sportsmanship among players.
• Managed equipment setup to maximise time on court and ensure efficient sessions.
• Assisted with managing player schedules, court allocations, and creating tournament rotas.

President at Liverpool University Music Society (2025-09 – Present)

I have been playing the alto saxophone for 9 years and have a strong passion for jazz and blues, with a particular interest in jazz performance and improvisation. Since joining the LUMS society, I regularly attend weekly ensemble rehearsals including the jazz band and the stage and screen orchestra. These rehearsals culminate in a large-scale Christmas and summer concert held in the prestigious Tung Auditorium within the Yoko Lennon center in Liverpool.
