I have gained during my over 10 years’ in communication and public relations with national and international organizations.
I have a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication degree from the University of Peshawar and have been associated with several national and international organizations over past five years, gaining hands on experience of crisis communication, public relations, event management, campaigning and advocacy.
For past eight years, I am working as Media Coordinator (Focal Person) with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority. In this position, I have represented the Authority and acted as focal person in several instances of natural disasters and calamities.
Prior to this, I worked for a USAID funded power distribution program at the Peshawar Electric Supply Company from 2013 to 2015. In this capacity, I was responsible for development of corporate sector communication, preparation of information, education and communication material, advocacy and campaigning against power thefts, company image building and capacity building of the power company staffers.
In addition to this, I have also worked with electronic media outlets including Dawn News television and FM 101 Pakistan as a reporter and broadcaster. I am also proficient at search engine optimization, social media marketing and have very good connections in media, which will help me highlighting organization good work in social and mainstream media.
Besides this, I enjoy to work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
