My name is Tanya and I am looking for an architectural assistant position. With a Bachelor's in Architectural Studies from UNSW, where I had the privilege of participating in the regional design program led by Glenn Murcutt, the Pritzker winner in 2002, and a Master's in Advanced Architectural Design from Strathclyde, I have developed a solid foundation in design principles and technical knowledge.
During my 1.5 years at Wong Tung and Partners, I gained valuable experience in feasibility projects, private residential design, and a noteworthy primary school project that received the Outstanding MiC Award 2022. Working closely with the design director, I honed my skills in drawing production, building and interior design. Additionally, working alongside consultants provided me with a broader perspective on the architectural process and the importance of seamless collaboration to achieve successful project outcomes.
Kong there is limited space, I am passionate about drawing out the maximum potential and making efficient use of a space.
Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite, I have created comprehensive plans, sections, elevations, and renderings. My strong communication skills and proactive problem-solving approach have allowed me to effectively collaborate with team members and deliver high-quality work within demanding deadlines.
My diverse job experiences, including working as a salon assistant and hot pot waitress, as well as volunteering as a care clown, have equipped me with valuable skills that directly contribute to the role of an architectural assistant. My background in providing excellent customer service, maintenance of a clean and organised environment and managing appointments demonstrates my attention to detail and organisational abilities. Overall, my transferable skills, enthusiasm, and dedication are some of the key qualities I intend to bring to my future team.
