I am interested in this opportunity because, although I have not previously worked in a traditional customer service role, I have developed many strong and transferable skills throughout my career that I believe would allow me to succeed in this position. My background includes several years of experience working in care, education, and life coaching, where communication, patience, empathy, problem-solving, and building positive relationships have been an important part of my day-to-day work. I have worked with children, young people, families, colleagues, and a range of professionals, always aiming to make people feel listened to, respected, and supported.
Through my experience as a Life Coach, I worked closely with clients to understand their individual needs, identify barriers, explore solutions, and support them in making informed decisions. My experience in residential care has also strengthened my ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging or unexpected situations. I am also comfortable working independently and managing my own responsibilities.
One of my strengths is my ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and with different needs. I am proud of the relationships I have built throughout my career and of the positive impact I have been able to have on the people I have supported. Although customer service would be a new area for me professionally, I see this as an opportunity to transfer the skills I have developed over many years into a new environment.
I am a quick learner, reliable, approachable, and willing to learn new systems and procedures.
