A multiskilled and dedicated teacher with experience supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs and specialising in music. Following on from gaining my BA (Hons) Music degree, I obtained a PGCE and began my teaching career at Stafford College.
Having found a passion for supporting students with additional needs, my most recent role includes teaching music at a school for students with complex needs where I developed my career and experience further.
My strengths include being trustworthy, reliable, and hardworking, as well as having the ability to work independently. I am a fast learner with many strengths, including honesty, punctuality, and generosity.
In my most recent job role I taught students a range of subjects including maths, communication, and music as well as providing sensory enrichment activities each day. I was responsible for planning lessons, setting targets, and reviewing each student progress throughout the year. My role included promoting a supportive and encouraging environment, using de-escalation techniques, and addressing both social-emotional and academic needs.
