I currently manage around 650 acres of land for nature in Devon, for three different landowners. I take an interventional approach to rewilding, speeding processes up by introducing native locally sourced wildflowers, creating ponds and scrapes, and planting appropriate trees. I currently manage a small herd of rare breed cattle and water buffalo, plus Exmoor ponies and iron age pigs.
I manage Hier Tier and Mid Tier Countryside Stewardship agreements and pursue other sources of funding where available, such as through moreWOODS and Rainforest Recovery grants from the Woodland Trust. I am very open to new, innovative ideas for the benefit of nature.
Aside from my land management experience, I also am an accomplished wildlife and nature interpretation guide, having done so in my current and previous roles. I am knowledgeable in species reintroductions and Beaver management.
