Main responsibilities included the safe administration of prescribed medicines to those undergoing detox therapy relating to drug or alcohol misuse and the provision of required clinical intervention during medical emergency/crisis intervention. Ensuring appropriate records and care planning were maintained and updated using IT systems in place.
Interim Care Home Manager - Bond Healthcare - East Ayrshire

The temporary role was to provide managerial cover and responsibility in the absence of the Home Manager who was on maternity leave and to provide support/guidance to the Deputy Manager and stable the workforce employed there at the time.

Appointed to this 6-month fixed term position while the care home was in the process of being acquired by St.Cecilia's Group. Under the previous ownership, the home had been deemed Requiring Improvement by the CQC and an embargo was in place. An improvement plan was already enforced by North Yorkshire Council, who visited frequently during my employment.
Consistent improvements were recorded at each visit and by the end of my fixed term employment, all areas had turned green under the RAG process and the embargo was lifted.
