A multi-skilled IT professional with over 27 years experience in the healthcare industry, working alongside the NHS & DoH, and for private healthcare organisations. Although my 'paper' qualifications are slim, I present a broad range of skills through numerous roles. My technical background originates in Software Development, Testing & QA and Data Analysis, plus Technical Support/Service Desk duties, and my soft skills come from Customer Service, Client Support, Project Management, and Team Leadership.

I feel my greatest strengths come from my rich real-world experience having worked across so much of the industry over the years. A strong focus on communication at all levels - from individual customers to NHS and government organisations - has also allowed me to incorporate a wide range of verbal and written communication skills.

Data Migrations Lead & Data-Co-ordinator at Eva Health Technologies (formerly Microtest Ltd.) (1998 – 2021)

Working across the entire spectrum of the business during my time; I fulfilled dozens of roles in integrations, software development, testing, QA, data analysis, business analysis, support, client communications and even some training. We were focused on primary care systems, the development and support of our GPSoC compliant products, as well as interopability and the wider healthcare ecosystem. I also spent many years working in Data Migrations; a role wherein I managed a small team, responsible for clinically safe and accurate migrations of multi-million record clinical databases for tens of thousands of patients all over the UK.

Independent IT Contractor at Sarnia Medical Systems (2021 – 2026)

A broad ranging role consisting of direct client support (service desk, guidance, problem solving, training etc) via email and telephone, and also administration of multi-million record databases. This role also included development and maintenance of simple software tools, data analysis, alignment to business requirements for KPI reporting and auditing, plus hands-on management of the virtualised servers and legacy Healthcare IT systems (SYSOP, DevOps, DBA and similar).

A-Levels in English Literature, Mathematics, Physics, General Studies all at A-C, AS Level B, All GCSEs at A-C, Many different qualifications – everything from ISO NHS ISB-0139 Clinical Safety to Business Skills incl. Telephone Communication. Qualifications such as Sphinx Instruction, Medicode code Training for GPs and Practice Staff, Medicode Advanced coding, Clinical Coding plus hundreds of non-certified online courses in IT and Health.
