Catering Assistant at Dine Contract Catering (2000-01 – 2026-01)

• Being responsible, setting up all of the front counter and kitchen ready for the day
• Preparing all food preparation ingredients and sandwich fillers for the day
• Labelling and dating all ingredients, ensuring they are stored correctly
• Using the computer to print the labels out for all food preparation and storing away of food
• Checking all the temperatures of the fridges and ensuring everything was correct
• Preparing fresh fillers and coleslaw for sandwiches, and start making the sandwiches
• Using other cooking equipment such as a fryer for frying chips, etc
• Cooking a range of hot food dishes, such as full breakfast, lasagna, curries and more
• Meeting all deadlines for all sandwiches to be completed within, cooking hot food for the customers
• Serving the customers their food, ensuring everything is okay, and their order is correct
• Operating the till, handling customers' orders, and checking for any allergies
• Handling cash or card payments when operating the till

Before this, I worked for thirteen years in another catering business, being loyal and carrying out duties similar to those above. Due to being made redundant, I had to leave.
