Tricia Garces

Hello! I'm Tricia Garces, an eager 2023 Biomedical Scientist graduate from Ulster University on a mission to make a positive impact on the healthcare and research industry through my strong foundation in biology, genetics, physiology, and laboratory techniques. I am highly skilled in pipetting with accuracy and conducting complex experiments.

My attention to detail, commitment to safety by working under ISO9001, and problem solving ensures reliable results. I have experience in clear lab collaboration and communication during my time at Randox as an Extraction Scientist. I am a committed and fast learner who is passionate about contributing to the global health initiatives and addressing healthcare disparities.

I worked within a multidisciplinary team that provided testing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, DNA extractions, and accurately recording data. I conducted diagnostic tests on COVID samples, including viral culture and serological assays while maintaining accurate records of sample processing and test results in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

My summer placement at Randox gave me an opportunity to work closely with clinical teams to interpret and communicate test findings for patient management and maintained detailed records of experiments, results, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
