I am a self-motivated, solution-oriented individual with a strong interest in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) aspects of cybersecurity, particularly in areas such as compliance, security education and training (SETA) programs, and organizational policy. I thrive in collaborative, dynamic environments where continuous improvement is embedded in the culture and where individual development is encouraged. I am particularly drawn to organizations that value innovation, teamwork, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
My interest in the GRC domain deepened during my postgraduate studies, where a core module in Information Security Management allowed me to gain hands-on experience through interactive workshops. These involved performing risk assessments, evaluating security controls, and proposing mitigative strategies to help address the identified vulnerabilities—providing practical insight into how security governance translates into real-world organizational contexts.
I am passionate about applying my analytical thinking, goal-oriented mindset, and problem-solving skills to develop effective, practical solutions that support broader organizational objectives. During both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, I successfully managed multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, strengthening my time management skills and my ability to consistently meet deadlines without compromising quality.
With an academic background in both psychology and cybersecurity, I bring a unique combination of research and technical expertise. My research has explored topics such as organizational security governance, security education and awareness, and policy compliance—resulting in detailed, critically informed reports. This interdisciplinary foundation enables me to help organizations bridge the gap between the human and technical aspects of information security, improve employee awareness, and foster a secure and resilient organizational culture.
I have not yet gained professional experience in the cybersecurity field, as I only began pursuing it last year. Nevertheless, I am highly motivated and eager to gain my first hands-on experience.
I have completed my Psychology BSc at the University of Kent with a First.
I am currently completing my Computer Science with cybersecurity MSc at the University of Kent with a predicted First.
