I am a motivated and adaptable professional with strong customer service and client support experience, known for delivering warm, professional care and clear communication. With proven organisational skills, the ability to stay composed in fast-paced environments, and a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy, I work effectively both independently and in teams. I am now seeking an NHS Receptionist role within a GP practice where I can contribute to a positive patient experience and support the smooth running of the service.
I have built strong experience in care, client support, and customer-facing roles, where I consistently provide calm, compassionate, and professional service in fast-paced environments. I’ve communicated with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, managed challenging situations with empathy, and maintained accurate daily notes while following safeguarding, confidentiality, and organisational procedures. These skills translate directly to handling patient enquiries and supporting the smooth running of a medical reception.
Through the NHS SWAP programme, I also gained relevant qualifications in customer service and mental health first aid, alongside hands-on work experience in a GP practice, which gave me practical insight into reception duties and patient interaction within a healthcare setting.
My education in Public Services has strengthened my communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities, and I achieved consistently high grades throughout my studies. I have complemented this with additional training highly relevant to a Medical Receptionist role, including Contact Centre Operations, Effective Communication for Health & Social Care, Equality & Diversity, First Aid and Fire Safety, and Managing Challenging Behaviour. These qualifications have prepared me to work safely, professionally, and inclusively in a healthcare environment, supporting both patients and colleagues with confidence.
