I am a senior at Ohio University majoring in Urban Planning and Sustainability with a minor in Economics and a certificate in GIS. I have done military service in the Airforce while working in cable and antennae systems and have been interning in the Code Enforcement Office with the City of Athens since May of 2025.

Code Enforcement Intern at City of Athens (2025-05 – Present)

Assist in office operations regarding contractor registrations, rental permitting processes, rental renewals, and code enforcement officer inspection scheduling

• Attend Board of Zoning Appeals meetings for recording minutes and observations
• Data recording and filing of permits, public requests, and zoning data both virtually and physically
• Assisting individuals in person, online, and over phone with obtaining public information, or helping solve problems they may have
• Site plan and zoning map observation with code enforcement officers
• Work with Citizen Serve software providers to design web pages for the code enforcement department

Cable and Antennae Operations involving installation, maintenance, and modification of copper, coax, and fiber optic cables and antennae systems

• Assist in projects involving the installation, maintenance, and modification of copper, coax, and fiber optic cables and antennae systems
• Work with teams to accomplish goals set by my unit at jobsites across Ohio
• Assist in training enlisted airman with virtual and hands on tasks
• Review site plans for mapping conduits and manholes at job sites for cable installation
• Coordinate with supply officials to manage and collect materials needed for jobs and projects
