I have been teaching continuously for 19 years (high school, history), I was "tanodavezető" (so called afterschool project for disadvantaged children) for 6 years, and I worked in a key project of the Education Office (Oktatási Hivatal). For the last 7 years, in addition to Palánta, I have been an employee of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service School Foundation. I provide professional support to teachers of the public education and vocational training institutions operating under our management, which mostly deal with disadvantaged students, primarily in the fields of digital pedagogy and educational methodology.
For me, the issue of social justice and opportunity creation cannot be separated from person-centered pedagogical practices and institutions that aim for modern, 21st-century student competencies and implement active learning.
