As a delivery contractor I was responsible for loading and transporting appliances, communicating with homeowners, and ensuring that the appliances were installed both efficiently and correctly.
- While in this role I learned the value of taking the initiative to reach out to customers with arrival times and checking back in before departing.
- I also learned that the customer's perspective is the reality while working at their home. I always tried to leave the customer's home nicer than when I got there.
- I was offered a position with higher pay in October of this year (2024), but turned it down to pursue a career in solar.
Assistant Store Manager at Spirit Halloween (2024-07 – 2024-11)
As an Assistant Store Manager I walk through the store to identify and proactively resolve quality control issues negatively impacting operations.
- I also train new employees on company policies, procedures, and best practices within the organization.
- I'm often in charge of opening and closing procedures; and provide feedback to enhance daily activities.
- One of my most essential tasks is managing the registers: ensuring accurate transactions, balancing drawers, and minimizing discrepancies.
- I closed out my contract on good terms, and could return next season if desired.
