• Submission of Cross Sectional, General Arrangement and Foundation Plan drawing for the approval orders
• Submission of single line curves against duty parameters requested by marketing
• Technical support to marketing, which includes -Attending tenders, enquiries, pump selections, site visits, kick off meetings for technical discussion for split case pumps orders (in critical cases)
• MOC selection and confirmation for critical application like sea water, fire, mining application etc
• Preparation of BOM as per order specification for firefighting FM UL pump set, which include BOM of pump, coupling selection, base plate, engine, control panel selection. Mechanical and electrical Synchronization of all these equipment as a fire package which includes drive shaft, engine cooling piping, ARV, Flow meter, waste cone, PRV, battery and cables
• Attending the trouble reports raised by the production shop/assembly shop/foundry
• Responsible for updating technical manuals, IOM manuals and leaflet
• Preparation of mechanical design calculations exiting Split case pumps for lowest life cycle feature (NPD)
• Checking & verification of 2D drawing for base plates, casting and machining drawings of new components prepared by drafting team members and release for manufacturing
• Co-ordinate development activity with concern division and keeping track of NPD activities in the split case pumps for fire application as per FM1311 and UL 448
• Attend shop assembly and pump testing as per schedule and Verification and validation product as per customer requirement
• Preparation of Technical data, Technical/IOM manuals and Leaflet for product
• Update the product development related ISO files, Monthly NPD reports and documents
• Attend the Quarterly FM and UL internal as well as external audit
• Value Engineering against orders & details engineering
