1 Litigation Management

• To ensure prepare and advise the business the strategy for each case for favourable, expedited disposal.
• To Co-ordinate with external counsels / solicitors and business and contest / conduct in accordance with the strategy.
• To Maintain the record of the action taken as per the strategy & keeping track of litigations.
• To Keep close track of the probable list.
• To Resolve the litigation prone issues at notice / correspondence (initial stage)
•  To Prepare, advise & implement the strategy for each case in the best interest of the company.
• Co-ordinating with external counsels / solicitors and business and case contest / settle the case in accordance with the strategy.
• Maintain the record of the action taken as per the strategy.
• To keep Update the business on the development in the matters

• Classify the type of references on drafting / vetting of legal documents and prioritize the documents in terms of its criticality, stakes involved, etc.
• Use to Design and develop a structured format for the business to provide relevant information’s / data related to each reference on documentation.
• To Set time standards for each category for disposal.
• To Arrange to prepare the summary of the deviations on quarterly basis 

• Selection of Advocates / Solicitors and Counsels.
• Use to Negotiate fees with Advocates / Counsels / Solicitors /Consultants.
• Use to Planning and scheduling the dates of hearing.
• In-house drafting of documents & pleadings.
• Ensuring that all user departments / businesses approach Nayara Energy Limited-Legal Dept(Legal Dept) for their requirement of any legal documents. 

• As per the requirements of the Company.
• Use to handle Intellectual Property Right issues of the Company.
• Use to handle the Branding License Agreement isses
• Litigation filed against the officers of the Company i.e. cases filed by the CBI and Customs Department

• To encourage team for innovation.
• To implement litigation software module.
• Awareness in RO documents.
• MDPC service and awareness

• Land acquisation for verious projects. 
• Trade Marks 
• Branding License
• Cases filed by the Customs and CBI 
• Legal Advice and compliance with respect to the order of the National Green Tribunal and instructions of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for various licensing issues for its units.
• Other issues as and when required. 

• A Commerce Graduate from Calcutta University Passed out in the Year 1982. 
• Post graduate in Law from Calcutta University Passed out in the year 1985.
