Production Executive [cotton] at Rasi Seeds Pvt Ltd (2023-04 – Present)

• I lead and coordinate cotton seed production activities (acquisition of basic seeds, growing and cultural activities, harvesting and processing, shipments) to efficiently achieve the specified orders.
• I make all the crop management, harvest, and delivery activities to ensure all stages of crop cycle, from sowing to pre-cleaning operations are executed and managed by local production team [organizers] for checking that all production data is reported accurately and on time.
• Selecting suitable production windows, locations and growers for the assigned production plan.
• I handle recruitment and training of farmers/production team [organizers] to manage crops to aim for competitive base rates.
• Review and confirm the seed production orders and contract terms.
• Ensure planning resources and mulching techniques in male and female plants for seed production in an optimal manner to achieve set targets.
• We monitor and ensure that the male and female plants for better quality and quantity in terms of yield.
• Work with peer area production, planning and finance departments to follow a standardized process to review grower pricing strategies and reduce financial exposure
• Handle and overview the Budget estimates & Latest Estimates (LEs) for the department to ensure cost sustainability of business.
• Monitors and controls department expenditure to ensure spending is within budget while maintaining quality and quantity.
• Prepares periodic and ad hoc reports and disseminates them to the relevant stakeholders.
• We represent the department in the management meetings to provide and receive updates/feedback from other departments for info/decision making.
• Accountable and responsible for maintaining relationships with growers and organizers including negotiation of relevant contracts, conciliation of all production issues.
• Prepares and signs all grower contracts following established clauses. Verify all grower settlements. focus on increase existing grower production capacity, develop mega growers and reduce dependency on external sources.
• Act & support team members, provide details & guidelines by variety. Impart necessary trainings to teams & farmers on grower fields.
• Takes charge of performance management process as per the organizational guidelines Support to Internal and external audits, develop and maintain documentation process and ensure maximum accuracy & timely actions.
• Responsible for timely organizer and grower settlements. Coordinate/support to resolve any issue with grower /organizer.
• Organize grower training sessions and season end meetings.
• Drives the strategic agenda initiatives within the team to achieve the overall production targets.
• I ensure facility maintenance to avoid incidences and damages.
• Sets logical targets and discusses them with relevant persons and ensures implementation of appropriate strategies for their achievement.
• I have Knowledge in end-to-end process i.e. handling hybrid seed and harvesting stages and also in disease and pest management.
• I track and allot my team area wise daily for their field visit accordingly.
