Postdoctoral Research Associate (March 2025–Present)
Nutritional Biotechnology Lab, National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, India
Currently working on the DBT-funded project titled “Mass spectrometry-based proteomic approaches to study the specific and non-specific protein interactions during adipogenesis.”
Employing nano LC–MS/MS and thermal proteome profiling to identify targets and off-targets of transcription factors regulating adipocyte differentiation.
Integrating proteomic data with epigenomic insights to elucidate molecular mechanisms underpinning adipogenesis and metabolic regulation.
Senior Research Fellow (2020–2024)
Junior Research Fellow (2018–2020)
Nutritional Biotechnology Division, NABI, Mohali, India
Worked under the supervision of Dr. Vikas Rishi (Scientist-G) on the Ph.D. project “Genome-wide Methylation Shifts and Context-driven Gene Expression in Differentiating Preadipocytes.”
Conducted whole genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) and bioinformatics analysis on HPC clusters to investigate epigenetic reprogramming during adipocyte differentiation.
Developed expertise in protein purification, molecular cloning, CRISPR/dCas9 system, and LC–MS/MS-based proteomic techniques.
Designed and constructed modified expression vectors (pET5-based) for high-yield recombinant protein production; filed a patent for a novel N-terminal tag enhancing protein expression.
Performed cell culture (NIH3T3-L1, HEK293, HepG2, MCF-7, AP-442) and mouse model studies (C57BL/6, BALB/C) involving drug dosing, behavioral assays, and OGTT tests.
Senior Research Fellow (Dec 2023–Feb 2024)
Computational Biology Division, NABI, Mohali, India
Collaborated with Dr. Shrikant Mantri (Scientist-F) on computational multi-omics projects integrating methylome and transcriptome data to reveal regulatory signatures in adipogenesis.
PhD in Biotechnology from RCB, Faridabad.
