As a teacher, some of my favorite moments are the small ones- a student noticing a pattern for the first time, asking an unexpected question or seeing a familiar idea in a completely new way. Trained in Botany and passionate about science education, I enjoy creating learning experiences that help students move from memorizing facts to making sense of them. Creator of two original interdisciplinary curriculum modules: Tree Tenants (ecology & biodiversity) and Cosmic Agriculture (space biology, physics and engineering) to bring science closer to the worlds students inhabit and imagine.

• Designed and delivered engaging lessons in Environmental Science and Ecology, making complex concepts accessible through stories, real-world examples, and discussion-based activities.
• Consistently linked classroom learning to current environmental issues, encouraging students to question, explore, and think critically.

Science Learning Mentor at Independent Educational Mentoring (2024-01 – 2025-12)

• Delivered personalized 1-on-1 mentoring in Biology and life sciences, using relatable analogies, annotated diagrams and custom frameworks to make mechanism-level concepts accessible.
• Built independent thinking and scientific reasoning by framing science as a process of discovery, investigation and argument — not memorization.

Editorial Member at Botanical Society (2020-01 – 2022-12)

• Authored and edited educational content on plant sciences, ecology and environmental themes, sharpening scientific communication and visual content design skills.
