Radhika Das

I am an incisive, creative & result-driven professional offering 2+ years of rich experience in developing creative and engaging media strategies and designing and developing content and communications deliverables for brands, projects and campaigns.

As a Media and Communications major, having graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London, UK, I am eager to venture into Media and PR / Design and Production / Digital and Event operations / Communications. My previous work experiences have strengthened my verbal communication skills and allowed me to develop my creativity, as I was in charge of organising and managing events and social networks, while also assisting with editing and brand positioning. I am an organised and motivated individual quick at picking up new skills and eager to learn.

Since 2016, I gained experience as a:

• News reporter intern at New Straits Times Press, Malaysia, where I co-wrote news and feature articles of interest for the Ipoh region residents.
• Social Media Curator at Take 25’s Facebook Page (Christ University), where I belonged to a PR Team that managed events and programmes and helped manage and publish posts on platforms like Facebook and Instagram for the same.
• Health and Support Editor at The Leopard (Goldsmiths University’s student newspaper), where I co-edited this section, mainly focusing on Mental Health and Disability Issues amongst the youth today.
• Travel Editor at [SMITHS], a student-run magazine (Goldsmiths University), that discusses topics ranging from ‘Arts & Culture’ to ‘Politics’, both in its print and digital forms. In this role, my co-editor, writers and I worked together to produce narratives on various cultures and countries.
• Programme and Communications Assistant at United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), the designated UN think tank on global health, where I assisted with communicating the institute’s research and findings to the policy-making community, with people and organisations in the Global South.

In both classroom and work settings, I worked hard and strove to be a dedicated individual and team player, with a passion for accurately and in detail doing my best in the job, hoping to engage people and enable change.
