Diabetes Educator - AAKASH HEALTHCARE

• Imparted one month full time training to interns of diabetes educator.
• Conducted lectures on diabetes education, MNT and insulin injection techniques to nursing staff of Aakash healthcare hospitals and Venkateshwar hospitals.
• Expert in diabetes foot care. Expert in doing monofilament testing, vibration perception threshold (VPT) assessment for grading severity of diabetic neuropathy. Expert in doing PODIASCAN, viz. foot pressure mapping to predict risk of diabetic foot ulcer. At Venkateshwar Hospital have done on an average of 80-100 VPT and PODIASCAN assessment in a month.
• Proficient in diabetic and weight loss diet counseling to patients, also proficient in counseling to patients with gestational diabetes and with type 1 diabetes.
• Proficient in handling patients on dual therapy (insulin as well as OHAs).
• Completed nutrition consults of OPD, conducted nutrition assessment, provided nutrition education and diet charts, attended daily IPD rounds, collaborated with multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Proficient in handling and counseling endocrine OPD patients.
