Roles & Responsibilities:
Erection & Pre-Commissioning:
- Plan and Prepare E&I construction schedules and monitor the work progress. Co-ordinate with Manager, Planner, Engineers, Supervisors for work schedule, material procurement, manpower allocation and advice on major issues during construction of tight work schedule.
- Monitors physical Installations to ensure that work is installed in accordance with drawings, project specifications and applicable codes.
- Erection, Testing and commissioning of HV switchgear, LV Switchgear.
- Testing and commissioning of LT Motors and Transformers.
- Erection and commissioning of 33KV/11KV sub-station including Testing of current Transformer, Potential Transformer, Power Transformer etc.
- Execute and lead a team to carry out the activities of instruments bench calibration, Loop checking of DCS, functional test of field instruments & control valves, MOV, panel, console, monitors of CCR, control desk and field instrument installation etc. and Electrical equipment including Motors & Switch gears, AC/DC drives, power distribution and cabling.
- Familiar with Industrial Networking /Field communications/Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Fieldbus, Modbus, HART and RS-485/RS232.
- Experience with DCS-Honeywell Experion PKS, Yokogawa Centum VP, PLC -Siemens step 7-300 and SCADA system.
- Assist and coordinate with the vendor representatives in site Instruments calibration.
- Responsible for Installation of all ELV system (CCTV, ACS, Lighting Management
System, Fire Alarm, Public Address & BMS Systems)
- Leads a group of technicians for installation of field instruments, instrument stanchion and supports.
- Interaction with manufacturers & suppliers for the availability, negotiating price of the materials and delivery of materials as per the correct specification, standards and requirement of the client on time.
- Installation, calibration and loop checking of the field instruments (Emerson Rosemount, ABB, Endress & Hauser, Bently Nevada, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Vega)
- Reviewing Engineering, vendor documents, drawings like Cable Ladder/Tray and Cable routing layout, P&ID’s, Instrument Hookup & Location layout, Single line, Schematic & Control, interconnection layout, power and control layout and explore the technical issues in advance during construction and also after the constructions.
- Knowledgeable in Industry standards and practices including process safety management practices and risk management.
- Preparations of Project Quality Test Plan and Implements, Technical Queries, work method statement & prepare risk assessment procedures with Safety supervisor, Write-In Quality related issues to Main Contractor.
- Witness and participate SAT (Site Acceptance Test) with vendor
- Managed instrument loop check of 264 systems nearly 5971 loops.
- Attending and generating punch list as a part of field instruments completion, ensure there are no category ‘A’ punch list items at the end of pre-commissioning activities
- Review markup any changes to design drawings and documentations.
- Attending Weekly / Daily Coordination meeting with Main Contractor / Clients.
- System Walk down with Main contractors/Clients.
Project Management:
- Preparation of sub contract tenders including analysis of technical specifications, preparation of comments, deviations, estimating time requirements, risk identification, contract negotiation and supervision of construction activities.
- Supporting Proposal activities for various project bids.
- Reviews Client’s technical documentation and requirements.
- Interacting with customers Consultants on technical requirements.
- Organizing Manpower, Machinery, Tools & Tackles, Calibration and test Instruments for successful implementation of instrumentation work.
- Preparing Project Budget & Executing the schedule of work.
- Preparing Master Document Register for the projects and planning the project activities and make sure the deadline is met for all the activities.
- Responsible for attending meetings and solving all project related issues with the project team.
