Our client is looking for an experienced

  • *Backend Python Engineer**
to join their platform team working on a cutting-edge robotics platform powering next-generation autonomous systems.

The role focuses on building and maintaining a

  • *distributed event-driven backend platform**
that enables real-world robots to operate, communicate, and perform complex tasks across industrial and healthcare environments. This is not a traditional HTTP-based backend role; the platform relies heavily on
  • *real-time messaging, IoT-style architectures, and distributed systems**

The engineer will collaborate with robotics, AI, and infrastructure teams to support a rapidly growing fleet of intelligent robots deployed in production environments.

  • *Your responsibilities include:
  • Develop and maintain backend services that power a distributed robotics platform.
  • Design and implement event-driven systems enabling communication between robots and platform services.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Support internal engineering teams by reviewing code, discussing feature implementations, and troubleshooting platform issues.
  • Maintain and improve core platform components and shared infrastructure services.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure reliability and scalability of the platform.
  • Test and validate platform features in real-world robotics environments.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, bugs, and system incidents.
  • Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives.

  • Strong professional experience with
