Riccardo Mele

My name is Riccardo Mele, I am from Italy, and I graduated in Banking, Financial Markets and Corporate Finance at LIUC – Carlo Cattaneo University (VA)

I am a positive, motivated, proactive and team-worker person. I have always been involved in international context thanks to my life experiences: starting from being a working student in Gold Coast (AU), to then having a very formative experience as Erasmus student in France and finally working as Sales Analyst in Lisbon. I am deeply passionate about the financial field, especially about markets and investments.

I have recently concluded an experience at BNP Paribas in the financial services sector, in the sales team; during the role I was in contact with customers on a daily basis to provide the best possible services and performances. I also conducted stock analysis on a weekly basis through various platforms.

I am currently looking for a position in investments - asset/portfolio management, which are the areas I am most passionate about, on which I have worked on and carried out exams and team-projects by using various platforms (Excel, Bloomberg, VBA, Python, Refinitiv) and on which I would like to develop my career

During my last job, I was often involved in valuating potentially growing stocks to be included in the structured products that the bank sells. I have also carried out, in the university and non-university field (e.g. in certifications such as the CMSA) several projects in the portfolio management field: from portfolio optimisation projects to active asset management in turbulent market conditions, all using S&P 500 stocks, as well as stocks and derivatives of my choice for hedging purposes. As a result, I have developed experience both in portfolio construction, client profiling and financial analysis through different techniques.

I have also worked on projects related to Private Banking and Family Office. More, to increase my expertise, I am currently studying for CFA Level 1 exam

Sales focus on: Equity derivatives structured products (EQD), Credit Linked Certificates, Fixed Income, Exotics

• Main Activities: Composition, pricing and listing of structured products; dealing with primary market customers (documents flow, indicative prices for new deals) and with Euronext; analyzing stocks to be included in structured products to sell in secondary market.
• Main Results: Creation, through technical analysis and multiples, of stock baskets assembled on EQD products sold in successful public distribution campaigns. Average revenue per campaign: 8-12M€
