My name is Dr. Simone Florio, and I currently hold the prestigious position of Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Italian Olympic team in the Federazione Italiana Pentathlon Moderno (FIPM). Having the honor of working with world-renowned athletes such as Elena Micheli, the current world champion, and European champions Alice Sotero and Giorgio Malan, other than Matteo Cicinelli, with which we have successfully secured qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Additionally, I have had the privilege of privately coaching the Swiss national athlete, Alexandre Dallenbach, further solidifying my experience on an international level as he too has qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
My academic credentials include a summa cum laude degree in Sports Sciences from the University of Tor Vergata in Rome, complemented by a Master’s degree in Biomechanics 4.0 from San Raffaele University. My career has been dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in sports science, with a particular focus on the enhancement of athletic performance through innovative training methodologies.
Beyond my current role, I bring approximately seven years of experience as a personal trainer and fitness instructor, having guided over 500 clients. My responsibilities have extended to the role of Technical Director for a fitness center and Head Coach for educating other fitness instructors and students in sports sciences. This breadth of experience underscores my commitment to the development of both individuals and teams in various capacities.
