Alan Parry

I've spent 15 years building and running post production and content teams for agencies, studios and Brands. I've led departments, founded a studio, and worked with some of the world's most recognisable brands.

Throughout, my role has always been the same: make the work excellent and make sure the team that pr oduces it run well. I started as an editor and grew into leadership through promotion, not just title. At Element 26 I went from editor to Post Supervisor to Head of Post Production, eventually owning th e department for five years and delivering 100+ projects annually.

I then founded Velvet Pig, my own studio, where I ran everything from pitch and resourcing through to delivery and client sign off, for brands including Monster Energy, IBM, Heinz and Ralph Lauren.

My background is genuinely dual: I can hold a creative conversation with a director or a CMO, and I can walk into a broken workflow and fix it. I've introduced project management systems, designed review and approval processes, mentored editors and producers, and acted as the bridge between creative, marketing and business leadership. I hold a PSM-I and am working towards PMP.

I'm currently based in Japan, which means I operate across UK, US and APAC time zones by default, an d bring direct APAC market experience alongside my European and US work.

Senior Editor at Freelance (2025-01 – Present)

Operating as a senior editorial and post production resource for agencies and brands across UK, US and Japan.

• Manage end to end post pipelines on branded campaigns, TVCs and social content: scoping, scheduling, delivery and client liaison.
• Support UK and US agencies remotely, providing overnight edit passes that shorten review and approval cycles for time sensitive campaign deliverables.
• Advise producers and creative leads on workflow structure and resourcing, acting as a senior production partner rather than a hired hand.
• Trusted as a "parachute" resource on projects requiring calm, experienced hands under pressure.
• Delivering for brands including Starling Bank, Nissan, Starbucks and Lidl.

Senior Editor at Transmission (2024-01 – 2025-01)

Lead editor for national TVCs and branded content campaigns across TV, cinema and digital platforms.

• Delivered high volume campaigns with 25+ outputs across broadcast, cinema and social channels, including 30+ broadcast, radio and cinema versions per monthly Omaze TVC campaign.
• Delivered a high concept partnership reveal for Target Darts from first cut to final in a one-week turnaround.
• Acted as informal post lead, supporting junior editors, QC'ing all outputs, and coordinating with suppliers and freelancers.
• Clients included Omaze, AXA and Target Darts.

Founder/ Creative Lead at Velvet Pig (2020-01 – 2024-01)

Founded a boutique creative studio, directing, producing and editing integrated campaigns for global brands.

• Directed, produced and edited integrated campaigns for Monster Energy, IBM, Heinz, Revolut, BCG and Ralph Lauren.
• Localised motion graphics for Revolut across 18 languages and 40+ asset variations, ensuring global brand consistency at scale.
• Built and managed a freelance network across editorial, motion, colour and on set disciplines.
• Designed systems for briefing, asset management, versioning and client feedback that scaled with the studio's growth.
• Produced a spec project that directly led to a commercial relationship with Monster Energy.

Head of Post Production at Element 26 (2013-01 – 2021-01)

Promoted through Editor, Post Supervisor and Head of Post Production over eight years, leading the department for the final five.

• Owned post production delivery across 100+ projects annually across FMCG, finance and SaaS sectors.
• Introduced project management infrastructure (Frame.io, Asana and Salesforce) to improve approval workflows, versioning and on time delivery.
• Led resource planning, scheduling and workload management across multiple concurrent projects and teams.
• Mentored editors and post staff through to senior roles and established career development structures within the department.
• Post Supervisor on Ravers (feature film), overseeing editorial, VFX and sound delivery.
• Senior partner to production, creative and account leadership, managing budget, timeline and creative quality simultaneously.
• Clients included AMEX, EY and ProCook.
