Brian Mugo

I’m Brian Mugo, a product designer based in Nairobi, Kenya with more than two years of professional experience in an interactive agency. I’m driven by the challenge of transforming ideas into thoughtful and impactful solutions. I find it most rewarding working with diverse teams where different perspectives can come together.

I create interactive experience, user interfaces, product strategy, design systems and content management systems. Some of the tools I make use of are whimsical, figma, adobe xd, Jira, Drawio, notion, excalidraw.

I am looking forward to work on exciting products that meet the user needs and achieve the business bottom line.

In my most recent role as a junior/ associate product designer, I am responsible for deliverables, small teams and projects in the Research, Design and Experience (RDX) department. Over one year in this role, I have worked on multiple projects such as a B2B Saas product, a physical game user research, an ecommerce solution and exciting product concepts. I have been also responsible for an internal design programme where we get to share and talk about design.

Other roles, I have had in the company are a UX Designer and a UX Design trainee working under the mentorship of Senior Designers.

In different capacities, I have worked as a web designer, a freelance mobile developer and in IT support/

I have a bachelors degree in Information Technology from Dedan Kimathi university, where I graduated in 2021.

I also have a certificate in User Experience Design from Alison.com.
