I have over twelve years’ solid experience in external audit, design, review and improvement of internal controls systems, grants management, payroll management, proposal writing, donor financial reporting, donor & other stakeholder liaison and relationship building, developing organizational budgets, budget monitoring, conducting financial scenario and trend analyses, day to day financial accounting including month end and year end closing of books of account, overseeing ICT, procurement, logistics, facilities and security functions, supporting statutory & donor audits and financial management report generation including finance, program and operations board papers
Over 12 years experience starting off in external audit and thereafter branching off to grants and project management and accounting in non profit organizations. Grown in roles of increasing responsibility in the finance & operations functions of non profit orgnaizations. Also served as acting CEO for one year (Sep 2021- Oct 2022) and currently serving as Chief Finance and Operations Officer at an international non profit organization.
Currently finalizing my thesis for my Master of Commerce degree having completed my Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Management Science. Also a chartered accountant registered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya as a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K)
