Jane Mburu

I am a Human Resource and Administration professional with over 10 years of experience across NGOs, healthcare, education, and faith-based organizations. I am a registered member of IHRM and the Kenya Institute of Management.

In my career, I have led HR and operations functions in academic institutions; University, College & schools; hospital and real estate. I have handled recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, policy development, and overall staff management.

I have also served in leadership roles, including Administration Manager and Acting Country Director, where I provided strategic direction and ensured smooth organizational operations. I am passionate about building strong teams, improving systems, and supporting organizational growth through effective HR practices.

I have worked in diverse environments:

Education sector – managing HR and administration in a secondary school, technical college, and academy, overseeing staff and operations.

Healthcare – supporting HR functions in a health centre serving the community, ensuring compliance and staff welfare.

Children’s homes – managing staff, welfare programs, and operational needs.

NGO/Faith-based organizations – providing leadership support, policy implementation, and acting in senior roles when needed.

Across these roles, I have been responsible for recruitment, payroll processing, performance management, staff discipline, and organizational administration.

I hold an MBA in Human Resource Management from Pan Africa Christian University and I am currently pursuing a PhD at St. Paul’s University. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management, and I am a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), which strengthens my practical and professional expertise in HR.
