My name is Dr.
Ngie, a lecturer in Kenyatta University, Department of Agricultural Science and Technology. I hold a PhD holder in Dryland Agriculture from Kenyatta University, Master of Science in Agriculture and Rural Development from Kenya Methodist University, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Extension from Egerton University. I offer consultancy services in issues related to Dryland agriculture and agricultural Rural development to ensure food and nutrition security, reduce poverty amidst climate change issues and other natural shocks.
I have undertaken some consultancy work related to the drylands of Kenya in relation to food security and nutrition.
I have worked as a University lecturer, researcher and consultant for more than 8 years of which 4 years I served in management as the departmental examination coordinator. I am a board member of Kenyatta University TVET Board, won various grants one on Integrated watershed Management in East and Central Africa, Research grant with NACOSTI to implement water and soil conservation technologies in the Kenyan drylands, have done consultancy with BRECcIA and IIED on a dryland project on Valuing Variability in the Drylands in an Environmentally Changing Climate, served as a deputy principal, supervised post graduate and undergraduate students for their research projects, head of department and graduate teacher with the TSC for almost 20 years
