Role: ICT Technical Officer

Responsibilities

1. Maintaining physical security and good order in Data Centre and ICT working environments, ensuring all cabling is tidy and appropriately labelled and any equipment alerts or faults identified in the environment are evaluated and dealt with appropriately. 
2. Maintain information security through equipment data wiping, ensuring disposals are dealt with in an appropriate manner to protect against data loss including configuration wipes of any infrastructure equipment.
3. Maintain the password, user access and change control procedures ensuring appropriate documentation has been completed and sign off attained.
4. Manage administrative privileges in line with ICT policies.
5. Create and amend necessary support documentation to ensure known errors and troubleshooting guidance is recorded, assisting colleagues in resolution of ICT issues and ensuring a foundation of appropriate technical knowledge is maintained.
6. Implementation of new infrastructure, technology acquisitions, software solutions and upgrades.

Position: IT Industrial Attachee.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of System software Installation, Setup and Support i.e. IFMIS, CMIS, DHIS2, IHRIS and Fun soft.
• Basic Networking and Network troubleshooting and Network Cabinet Management.
• Fundamental computer and other ICT accessories hardware repair and maintenance.
• Formatting of computers using windows operating system.
• Installation of software application.
• Digitization of Human Resource files.
•  Installation of computer accessories such as printers and drives.
• Data entry, working with MS, Office Suite (Excel and word).
• General Office Support including but not limited to Active Directory and Domain System, IP telephone, Printers, Office, Network and Internet access.
