Nelson holds a Masters of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi. He is a member of several professional institutions including Institute of Certified Secretaries (ICS), Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK), Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA), Enterprise Risk Management Academy (ERMA), and Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI). Nelson is also an accredited Governance auditor and certified governance trainer.
